The Women Behind the First Ladies

Behind many successful first ladies were other women who greatly contributed to their legacies. A ranger from the First Ladies National Historic Site will share the stories of these women, such as Ona Judge, Martha Washington’s enslaved maid, and Elizabeth Keckley, Mary Todd Lincoln’s dressmaker.
