About this Park

Arlington Junction Park is Arlington County’s first official park in Crystal City. This urban park features a series of garden rooms, connected by 11th Street South. The park features include various seating opportunities, a colorful lounge area, a corner dog relief station with pet fountain, and artistic sculptural elements at entrances.

The central park feature is the large, conserved Cottonwood tree. A new elevated boardwalk adjacent to the tree helps with its conservation while allowing pedestrian access adjacent to South Eads Street. The Cottonwood tree is complemented by woodland and diverse native plantings, including pollinator and habitat-friendly planting islands, a bioretention garden, and a gravel garden. Interpretive signage highlights the park’s history and sustainable features.
