About this Center & Park

This community center features meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, a game room, a gymnasium and wireless internet access. Adults exploring post-retirement opportunities can help with the outdoor sensory garden.

The Walter Reed Community Center is designed to meet the LEED silver standard. The community center features a green roof, green open space and light-colored paving to help reduce heat impact, a vegetated roof, a bioretention area catch.

Park amenities include green space, pickleball courts, basketball court, and a playground.

Outdoor Basketball/Pickleball Court Hours (during construction):

Pickleball Only Hours:

Mon. – Sat. from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Sun. from 1 p.m.- 7 p.m.

Basketball Only Hours:

Mon. – Sat. from 2 p.m. - Sunset
Sun. from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.

The courts will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on all federal/ County holidays except for Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Day. During these times, Pickleball play will be from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Basketball play from 2 p.m. to Sunset.
