Gunston Middle School Step Team
12:15 p.m.
The Gunston Middle School Step Team is a student performance group dedicated to fostering unity, discipline, and self-expression through the art of step. Rooted in traditions of rhythm and movement, the team focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills while celebrating the creativity and cultural significance of stepping. Performing at school and community events throughout Arlington, the group represents Gunston Middle School with pride and excellence, empowering each member to find their voice and contribute to a positive community through performance.
The Four
12: 30 p.m.
The Four — Charles Bynum III, Indasha Amira Bynum, Dominique Hall Bynum, and Tyrus Crews Pincham — are a collaborative performance ensemble who bring theatrical storytelling and dynamic stage presence to community and cultural events. The group performs as part of a larger presentation that highlights themes of unity, creativity, and social expression, drawing on each member’s unique artistic strengths. Their work engages audiences through powerful movement and narrative, contributing to the rich tapestry of performances featured at Feel the Heritage.
GoGo Fitness
1:00 p.m.
Since February 2012, Go-Go Fitness LLC has been a trusted partner and leader in dance fitness and total health and wellness in the District, the nation and the world spreading the love of DC’s homegrown Go-Go Music thru dance fitness and making sure everyone knows how to “Wind Me Up Chuck” and get healthy. Native Washingotonians Danette Tucker and Erica Berry Wilson started GO-GO Fitness to provide a family-friendly environment that encourages women, men and children of all ages to get fit and have fun while doing so. Throughout our history, we have encouraged physical activity to support the health and well-being of families and communities.
Bannekar Ballroom Dance Demo

Banneker Ballroom Dance is a Washington, D.C.–based program dedicated to keeping the tradition of ballroom dancing alive in the community. The organization offers instruction and performance opportunities for dancers of all ages while promoting skill development, confidence, and a love of dance. Through partnerships with schools and community groups, Banneker Ballroom Dance shares the joy of ballroom across the region and highlights the physical, social, and cultural benefits of dance through classes, outreach, and performances.
Seniors on Step

Seniors on Step (S.O.S.) is based in Alexandria, VA. Their mission is to inspire health, vitality, connection, and joyful movement for active seniors and the broader community. S.O.S. is a social and high energy line dance performance group, consisting of dancers 55+ years of age. They have appeared at the NBC 4 Health and Fitness Expo, Pittsburgh Line Dance Convention, National Night Out, Adams Morgan Day Festival, to name a few.
Faycez U Know is a soul, funk, and go-go band based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The group is part of the Faycez U Know Music Group, a collective of producers, songwriters, arrangers, and musicians dedicated to creating high-energy live music. Known for their strong go-go swing and dynamic stage presence, the band draws inspiration from the legacy of D.C.’s go-go sound while blending elements of funk, soul, and party-style performance. Their musicians are committed to delivering an engaging live experience that keeps audiences moving and connected through music.
Malcom X Drummers

The Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers are a Washington, D.C.–area performance group dedicated to sharing the traditions of West African drumming, singing, and dance. Rooted in the long-standing cultural expressions that take place at Malcolm X Park, the ensemble was organized into a performance company to bring these powerful traditions to stages and community events across the region. Known for dynamic rhythms and vibrant choreography, the group performs throughout the DMV, presenting cultural artistry that celebrates heritage, community, and the enduring impact of African and African American traditions.
