Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF)

Arlington County has case management for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF), to navigate, coordinate, and access clinical services for individuals experiencing:

Depression or Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Military sexual trauma
Physical abuse
Substance use disorders
Schizophrenia and bipolar disorders
Traumatic Brain injury (TBI)
Homelessness

As we start the month of September, Suicide Prevention month (#SPM25) and Suicide Prevention Week (Sept. 7-13) are heavy on our minds. There are several valuable trainings and events happening this month surrounding suicide prevention, addressing substance abuse trends, and safety planning interventions. Please help us recognize, honor, and celebrate the military observances happening during the month, and keep an eye out for additional trainings and workshops coming up over the next month.
