Park Enhancement Grant Program

Park Enhancement Grant Program FY 2016

The Arlington County Park and Recreation Commission regrets to report that the Park Enhancement Grant (PEG) program has been temporarily suspended, as funds were not included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 budget, approved by the County Board in April.  The Commission is committed to the PEG Program and remains hopeful it will be reinstated in the upcoming budget.  We appreciate all the past efforts by communities who have participated in this valuable program and we look forward to offering these grants again in the future.

Program Purpose

  • Enables Arlington citizens to initiate small capital improvement and beautification projects for Arlington’s parks and recreation facilities in their neighborhoods;
  • Encourages community support for public parks; and
  • Streamlines these improvements to be completed without going through the normal County budget process.

Contact Bethany Heim, Staff Coordinator, at 703-228-4825 if you have any questions regarding the program.
