Open Enrollment is May 11^th to May 29^th

Open Enrollment is the opportunity to make insurance changes.  Any changes you make will be effective July 1^st.   Below is some important news regarding the County’s retiree insurance plans.

All of our Open Enrollment events are online.  But we’re still available via email or phone if you have any questions or if you need any help. 

Please remember there is nothing for you to do unless you need to make changes for July 1. You will stay enrolled in the same insurance plans. 

What’s New for July 1, 2026?

• FY27 Cost-of-Living Adjustments:
  • For Chapter 21 retirees, the COLA is 1.5%
  • For Chapter 46 retirees, the COLA is 2.6%
• Cigna, Kaiser HMO, and Delta Dental monthly premium rates are increasing effective July 1.  

  Please review the charts on the right.

• If you are enrolled in a Cigna Choice, you will receive a new ID card. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:   Kaiser Medicare Advantage and UHC Medicare Advantage rates are not changing at this time. We will announce potential changes to Medicare plans in the fall of 2026.  Any changes will not be effective until January 1, 2027.
