REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-08020194, 5100 block of 10th Street S. At approximately 4:27 p.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, became involved in a verbal dispute, during which the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and threw his cellphone on the ground, causing damage. The suspect left the scene but returned a short time later and was taken into custody without incident. The victim was treated by medics on scene for non-life threatening injuries and the suspect sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. Jellali Naoufal, 29, of Falls Church, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Destruction of Property.
ROBBERY, 2023-08020234, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:47 p.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the store and began collecting merchandise during which an employee confronted him. The suspect then made threatening statements implying he had a weapon and left the store with the stolen merchandise. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male in his early 20’s wearing a black shirt, black shorts, white hat and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2023-08020065, 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 7:42 a.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, officers made telephone contact with the female victim who stated she was walking in the area when she became engaged in conversation with the male suspect during which he exposed himself. Responding officers located the suspect and the investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2023-08020102, 300 block of N. Quebec Street. The victim filed an online police report which stated that at approximately 3:05 p.m. on August 1, she was outside a residential building when she observed the male suspect expose himself. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
