North America Cvent Top Destinations 2026 Badge

The Arlington Convention and Visitors Service (ACVS) announced on May 19, 2026, that Arlington, Virginia, was named #44 Top Meeting Destination in North America by Cvent. The globally recognized Cvent Top Meeting Destinations lists rank cities that stand out for their exceptional ability to attract group business through thoughtful event planner collaboration, distinctive experiential offerings, and unique hotels and venues.

Rankings are determined based on sourcing and request-for-proposal (RFP) activity through the Cvent Supplier Network, one of the world’s largest venue-sourcing platforms.

This is the fifth consecutive year Arlington has been recognized as a Cvent Top Destination.

Arlington stands out as a meetings destination by bringing everything planners and attendees need into one connected, highly-accessible experience, just minutes from Washington, D.C. Tech-ready venues, modern hotels and seamless transportation support in-person and hybrid events with ease, while a walkable, Metro-connected setting simplifies logistics and enhances engagement. Beyond the meeting room, vibrant neighborhoods, diverse dining and cultural experiences create memorable, authentic moments for attendees, all in one place.

“Arlington’s presence on this prestigious list for five years running is a testament to our destination’s rich combination of offerings, as well as the incredible collaboration among ACVS, our hotels, meeting venues and other Arlington hospitality partners,” said Portia Conerly, ACVS Director of Sales and Visitor Services. “We are thrilled for Arlington to be recognized by Cvent’s large community of event professionals.”

“The Cvent Top Lists have become an essential resource for the global meetings and events industry — giving event planners a trusted, data-driven view of the destinations, hotels, venues, and suppliers best equipped to bring their events to life,” said Bharet Malhotra, Cvent Executive Vice President. “With more than $20 billion in group business sourced through Cvent's platforms in 2025, these rankings reflect real market demand and planner sourcing trends. They allow our venue and destination partners to celebrate their success and understand where they stand in an increasingly competitive landscape. Congratulations to Arlington on this well-deserved recognition.”

The Cvent Top Lists are among the most closely watched rankings in the global meetings and events industry, with nearly 160,000 event professionals relying on Cvent to source hotels, venues, and destinations worldwide and manage their events. The 2026 rankings are based on more than $20 billion in group business sourced through Cvent's platforms in 2025, reflecting real planner demand and sourcing trends, not self-reported data.

Cvent evaluated more than 14,000 cities worldwide listed on the Cvent Supplier Network. Activity was tracked between January 2025 and December 2025. Rankings were determined by qualifying criteria including: the number of total room nights booked through the Cvent Supplier Network; the number of unique request-for-proposals (RFPs) sent through the marketplace to venues within the city; the total value of the RFPs submitted; and the actual awarded value for meetings booked.
