Police Investigate Shooting on S. Eads Street

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a shooting that took place inside a residential building in the Aurora Highlands neighborhood on the evening of February 15, 2025. 

At approximately 9:04 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1600 block of S. Eads Street for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two victims, an adult male and a juvenile male in his teens, with gunshot wounds and began rendering aid. Medics transported both victims to area hospitals for treatment. The adult male suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile male suffered serious injuries and is currently in critical but stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates the male suspect became engaged in a verbal dispute with a group of individuals in the hallway of a residential building during which he brandished and discharged a firearm, striking the two victims. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and a search of the area for the suspect yielded negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing black clothing.
