Police Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Ballston

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a fatal, single-vehicle crash in the 900 block of N. Taylor Street which occurred on the afternoon of December 16, 2025.

At approximately 1:58 p.m., police were dispatched to the report of a crash with injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the vehicle, an adult male, was traveling southbound on N. Taylor Street when he left the roadway, struck multiple parked vehicles and a pole. The driver sustained serious injuries, was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased. The sole passenger of the vehicle was not injured.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending proper identification and notification of next of kin.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the driver suffered an apparent medical emergency.
