Arlington, VA – The Arlington County Fair, one of the largest free events on the East Coast and a beloved Arlington tradition for nearly 50 years, opens its gates on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025. Held at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center and Park, the County Fair brings five days of rides, food, live entertainment, and community spirit to the heart of Arlington.

From thrilling carnival rides and live music to local food vendors, interactive exhibits, and long-standing Fair traditions, the Arlington County Fair offers something for visitors of all ages. Admission is free each day, with no ticket required to enjoy exhibits, performances, and live entertainment. Food, rides, and games will be available for purchase.

Getting to the Fair
Fairgoers are strongly encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transportation, as there is no general parking available on-site. Limited ADA-accessible parking will be provided.
A free shuttle will run all five days between the Fairgrounds and the Ballston Mall Garage, which is a new pickup location for 2025. Cyclists can take advantage of the complimentary Bike Valet, offered in partnership with Bike Arlington.

Entertainment & Activities
From soulful vocals to ‘90s alt-rock, the Arlington County Fair’s live music and entertainment lineup features a dynamic range of talented performers, with shows running Thursday through Sunday across three stages: the Entertainment Stage (on the Upper Field near the Beer Garden), the Children’s Stage, and the Indoor Stage.
Guests can enjoy live music, cultural performances, and family-friendly shows throughout the weekend. Highlights include:
- The lively Night Market on Thursday evening, featuring local vendors under the starts
- The Children’s Entrepreneur Market on Saturday, where young business owners showcase their creativity
- The debut of the Vienna Princess Glam Tent on Saturday, offering face painting for children of all ages
- A high-energy Fair favorite - the Action Jaxx Foam Party returns Saturday and Sunday
- Fairgoers with big appetites can take on the Pizza, Burrito, and Pie Eating Contests - open to all ages on Saturday.
Guests are also encouraged to explore the Competitive Exhibits and see firsthand the creativity and talent of their Arlington neighbors.
