REPORTS
GRAND LARCENY (Significant), 2025-03060140, 15th Street S. at S. Bell Street. At approximately 4:36 p.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. A witness reported observing the suspect removing a locking device and walking away with an electric bicycle. The responding officer canvassed the area, located the suspect and gave him commands. The suspect ran from the officer and was taken into custody following a foot pursuit. During a search incident to arrest, suspected narcotics and burglarious tools were recovered. Sheldon White, 38, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny: Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Obstruction of Justice and Wearing a Mask in Public.
ROBBERY, 2025-03110011, 400 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 1:05 a.m. on March 11, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the business and concealed merchandise. The suspect then purchased other merchandise during which an employee confronted him about the concealed items. The suspect made threatening statements implying a weapon before exiting the store and fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and took him into custody. Robert Adams Jackson, 28, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.
ROBBERY (late), 2025-03100187, 400 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 5:36 p.m. on March 10, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery by force. It was determined at approximately 1:40 p.m., the male victim was outside a residential building when the two male suspects arrived in a vehicle at the location for the prearranged sale of clothing items. The victim handed the items to one of the suspects who then reentered the vehicle without payment. The victim attempted to grab the items and a dispute ensued before the suspects drove away from the scene. The passenger of the vehicle is described as a Black male in his 20’s, approximately 5’6” with braids. There is no description of the driver of the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2025-03100164, 1500 block of S. Columbus Street. At approximately 2:32 p.m. on March 10, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between 11:30 a.m. and 2:32 p.m., the suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s residence and stole personal identification cards, jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2025-03100185, 2100 block of N. Westmoreland Street. At approximately 4:54 p.m. on March 10, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 1:45 a.m. on March 7, the two male suspects entered a residential building and forced entry into a secured room before stealing packages and fleeing the scene. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 6’0”-6’3” with facial hair wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 6’0”-6’3” with facial hair wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and white sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
