REPORTS

BURGLARY, 2025-01030004, 1200 block of N. Queen Street. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on January 3, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that three male suspects allegedly forced entry into a construction site, causing property damage. Responding officers located the three suspects at the scene and detained them without incident. During a search incident to arrest, suspected narcotics were located on one of the suspects. Delaurance Williams, 35, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Wearing a Mask in Public, Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, and Destruction of Property. Donte Younger, 39, of Washington DC was arrested and charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Wearing a Mask in Public, and Destruction of Property. Kendell Cunningham, 33, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.  They were all held without bond.

CARJACKING, 2025-01020164, 700 block of 12th Street S. At approximately 6:37 p.m. on January 2, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim, who was operating as a delivery driver, was returning to his idling vehicle when he was approached by 4-5 male suspects. One suspect struck the victim, brandished a firearm and demanded his property. The suspects then stole the victim’s cell phone and fled the scene in his vehicle which contained his wallet and credit cards. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was subsequently recovered in Washington, DC. The suspects are described as 4-5 Black males approximately 20 – 25 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2025-01020037, 5500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:06 a.m. on January 2, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined an employee was inside a closed business when he heard a noise and upon investigating, observed the suspect standing outside looking into the business. The suspect then fled the scene in a gray SUV. Responding officers located signs of attempted forced entry to the business. There is no suspect description available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2025-01020143, 3400 block of S. Clark Street. At approximately 4:06 p.m. on January 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that between December 28 and December 29, two male suspects forced entry into the storage room of a residential building, causing property damage, and stole three bikes. The suspects are described as two Black males approximately 20 – 25 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2025-01020048, 2900 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 7:32 a.m. on January 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 4:53 a.m. two male suspects forced entry into the closed business by breaking a window and stole merchandise and a cash register drawer before subsequently fleeing the scene in a black sedan occupied by two other suspects. The suspects are described as a white male wearing a black beanie, black puffer coat, black jeans and a face covering and a Black male wearing a white hoodie with a black puffer coat, black sneakers and a face covering. There are no suspect descriptions for the two additional suspects that were in the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
