REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2025-02010094, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:39 a.m. on February 1, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and bagged the items at the self-checkout before attempting to exit the store without payment. An employee confronted the suspect during which he shoved the employee and made threatening statements towards them. The suspect then exited the store and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a tan sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2025-02030027, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 6:58 a.m. on February 3, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect forced entry into an occupied home while brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported and no items were reported stolen. Responding officers established a perimeter and canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build male, approximately 5’11”-6’1’”, wearing a black hoodie, gray shirt, dark pants and a black mask. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-02020001, 1100 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 12:03 a.m. on February 2, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect forced entry into a secured room inside a residential building and subsequently fled the scene upon being discovered by an employee. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20’s with dreadlocks and a backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2025-02010155, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 5:53 p.m. on February 1, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and concealed merchandise in a backpack during which he was confronted by an employee. A struggle ensued over the backpack and the suspect struck the employee before exiting the store and fleeing the scene without the items. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’7” and wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
