REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-02140131, 100 block of S. Highland Street. At approximately 2:40 p.m. on February 14, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect became involved in a verbal dispute outside a residence during which the suspect allegedly displayed a knife and struck the victim with it, causing a laceration. Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital with serious injuries. The suspect remained on scene and was subsequently taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, a pocketknife was recovered. Philip Bloxam, 44, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-02150007, 1800 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:38 a.m. on February 15, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly approached the male victim inside a business and engaged him in conversation before striking him with a drinking glass and fleeing the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and subsequently took him into custody. Ronald Ladue, 39, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Public Intoxication.

ROBBERY, 2025-02140239, 2800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 11:53 p.m. on February 14, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the business, collected merchandise and attempted to exit without payment during which he was confronted by an employee. The suspect then attempted to strike the employee before exiting the store and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located the suspect on a bus in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Orme Street and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided officers with false personal identification information and it was determined he was wanted out of other jurisdictions. Walter Herring Jr., 31, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Robbery and Giving False Identity to a Law Enforcement Officer and served with the outstanding warrants.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 2025-02140238, 5300 block of 8th Road S. At approximately 11:33 p.m. on February 14, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was entering a residential building when the male suspect, who was standing outside the building, engaged her in conversation. The suspect subsequently touched the victim inappropriately before fleeing the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male in his 20’s, approximately 5’7”-5’8”, with black hair wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2025-02150159, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:38 p.m. on February 15, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined seven juvenile suspects entered the business and concealed merchandise. Suspects Five and Six exited the store without payment, during which an employee attempted to prevent the other suspects from leaving. The remaining suspects shoved the employee before exiting the business without payment. The employee followed the suspects outside and Suspect One threw a drink at the employee before the group fled the scene on foot. Suspect One is described as a Black juvenile female, 12-14 years old, wearing a pink jacket, navy pants, gray hat and white shoes. Suspect Two is described as a Black juvenile female, 12-14 years old, wearing a black coat, blue jeans and white shoes. Suspect Three is described as a Black juvenile female, 12-14 years old, wearing a pink coat and black pants. Suspect Four is described as a Black juvenile female, 12-14 years old, wearing a striped shirt and checkered pants. Suspect Five is described as a juvenile Black male, 12-14 years old, wearing a gray hoodie, black coat, gray pants and gray shoes. Suspect Six is described as a juvenile Black male, approximately 5-6 years old, wearing a brown jacket, black hoodie and a purple backpack. Suspect Seven is described as a Black juvenile female, 12-14 years old, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and carrying a white bag. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2025-02160093, 1200 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 2:56 p.m. on February 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in his jacket and exited without payment during which he was confronted by loss prevention personnel. A struggle ensued over the suspect’s jacket and the suspect pushed the loss prevention personnel before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The stolen merchandise was recovered. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s with a beard and short hair wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2025-02140210, 2300 block of N. Daniel Street. At approximately 9:39 p.m. on February 14, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his home when he observed the male suspect force entry into the residence. The victim confronted the suspect who then walked towards the driveway of the residence and attempted to make entry into the victim’s vehicle and again to the home. The occupants of the home yelled at the suspect, who then fled the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 5’8” with dreadlocks and a beard wearing a black hoodie. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2025-02160130, 2100 block of 19th Street N. At approximately 6:05 p.m. on February 16, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. It was determined approximately 30 minutes prior, the male victim was inside his residence when he observed the three suspects attempt to force entry into his home before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a thin-build White male, approximately 15-25 years old, wearing a white puffy coat, white hoodie, black pants, black sneakers and black gloves. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build White male, approximately 15-25 years old, with short black hair wearing a black hoodie, gray pants and black sneakers. Suspect Three is described as a thin-build White male, approximately 15-25 years old, wearing gray hoodie, black jacket, black sweatpants and black sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-02160107, 2700 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 4:10 p.m. on February 16, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined the victims were inside their home when they heard the suspect(s) attempt to force entry into the residence. One victim called out to the suspect(s), who subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
