REPORTS

BURGLARY (late), 2024-10020057, 4600 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:15 a.m. on October 2, police were dispatched to the report of a breaking and entering just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 10:57 p.m. on October 1, the male suspect forced entry into the business by shattering a glass door, stole a tray from the registers containing an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a purple hoodie, brown pants, and tan boots. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2024-10020107, 3500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 2:39 p.m. on October 2, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that while an employee was assisting another customer, the suspect reached over the counter and attempted to grab merchandise. The employee confronted the suspect and a physical alteration ensued. A second employee separated the two and requested the suspect to leave which he complied with. The employee sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and detained him. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
