REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-07020109, Key Boulevard at N. Nash Street. At approximately 12:54 p.m. on July 2, an officer was flagged down by the victim for the report of a robbery by force. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim and male suspect were stopped in their vehicles at a stop sign when they became involved in a verbal dispute. The suspect exited his vehicle, threw a can at the victim, reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole his phone. The suspect then reentered his vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male with facial hair wearing a brown shirt and gray pants driving a light-colored SUV. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2024-07020053, 2700 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:53 a.m. on July 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 8:00 a.m. on July 1 and 9:53 a.m. on July 2, the unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a secured room inside a residential building, stole building materials and fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
