REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-07240200, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:24 p.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, allegedly concealed merchandise and attempted to exit without payment during which he was confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect then shoved loss prevention personnel before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the Ballston Metro. The officers issued commands to the suspect, who was noncompliant, and he was taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided officers with false personal identification information. Omar Holloway, 24, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Robbery and Identity Theft.
BURGLARY, 2024-07240070, 2900 block of S. Grant Street. At approximately 9:53 a.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside her home when the male suspect allegedly entered, demanded her vehicle and displayed a military identification. The victim refused and the suspect subsequently exited the home and proceeded to try the door handles of three unoccupied, parked vehicles in the area. The suspect reportedly told the owner of one of the vehicles he needed the vehicle for military business. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and took him into custody. Dayan Balderrama, 24, of Woodbridge, Va. was arrested and charged with Burglary, Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer (x2), Vehicle Tampering (x3) and Attempted Robbery. He was held without bond.
