REPORTS

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2024-12110118, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 3:47 p.m. on December 11, an officer working a crime prevention detail at the Pentagon City Metro Station stopped the male suspect for fare evasion. The suspect began acting disorderly and had a knife visible in his waistband. The officers then attempted to detain him during which the suspect refused to comply with commands and resisted arrest. With the assistance of additional officers in the area, the suspect was taken into custody. While in custody, the suspect kicked and spat on three officers. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, a knife and suspected narcotics were recovered. Vincent Trice, 45, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x3), Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (x2), Obstruction of Justice and Fare Evasion.
