REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2024-08250147, 3100 block of Langston Boulevard. At approximately 6:17 p.m. on August 25, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival it was determined that the male suspect entered the business and allegedly began tampering with merchandise during which an employee confronted him.  The suspect then attempted to exit the store with the merchandise without payment during which the employee confronted the suspect again. The suspect made threatening statements towards the employee before exiting the store. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and took him into custody. Alusine Tiafoh, 26, of Greenbelt, Md. was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 2024-08240189, 400 block of N Thomas Street. At approximately 11:17 p.m. on August 24, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was in his parked vehicle when he observed the male suspect approach his vehicle, brandish a firearm and demand the victim’s vehicle. The victim honked his horn, and the suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a short, heavy-set Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt and brown shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2024-08250111, 1700 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 2:33 p.m. on August 25, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that two male suspects entered the business, began concealing merchandise and attempted to exit the business without payment. An employee confronted the suspects outside the store during which one suspect lunged at the employee before both suspects fled the scene. No injuries were reported. Suspect One is described as a Black male, wearing a long sleeve gray pullover, khaki pants, black shoes and a face covering. Suspect Two is described as a Black male wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2024-08260141, 2100 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 3:41 p.m. on August 26, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 5:00 p.m. on August 23 and 2:00 p.m. on August 26, the suspect forced entry into a secured room within a residential building and stole equipment. The suspect then fled the scene in a silver sedan. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 5’5”-5’6” in height, approximately 40 years of age, with short curly hair and a mustache. The investigation is ongoing.
