REPORTS
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-04060178, 200 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 5:17 p.m. on April 6, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and male victim had a verbal dispute inside of a business before the victim exited the store. The suspect allegedly followed the victim out of the business, brandished what appeared to be a knife and chased the victim while making threatening statements. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through the interior during which a witness was able to call police. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, a boxcutter was recovered. Shamonn Rumph, 35, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding and Attempted Robbery.
MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING (Series), 2024-04060247/2024-04060258/2024-04060266, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive/4200 block of 2nd Road N./Unit block of N. Trenton Street. At approximately 10:24 p.m. on April 6, police were dispatched to the report of destruction of property. It was determined between approximately 10:11 p.m. and 10:34 p.m., the unknown suspect(s) threw rocks at three victims’ occupied residences, causing damage to windows, before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. There are is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
