REPORTS

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2024-04150251, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 10:44 p.m. on April 15, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect entered the business and allegedly began eating food items when an employee confronted her. A verbal dispute ensued and the suspect threw merchandise at the employee, striking them, before briefly leaving the store. The suspect then returned, went behind the counter and made threatening statements towards the employee and subsequently exited the business. The suspect then struck the glass door to the business, causing it to shatter, before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers located the suspect in the area of Fairfax Drive and N. Stuart Street and detained her. While in custody, the suspect was non-compliant and kicked an officer. Medics evaluated the suspect on scene. Angela Hiner, 40, of Fredericksburg, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Assault and Battery, Destruction of Property (x2), Shoplifting, Obstruction of Justice and Public Intoxication. She was held without bond.

NARCOTICS VIOLATION, 2024-04140246, 3100 block of S. Fox Street. At approximately 11:33 p.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. During the course of the investigation, officers determined one of the involved parties was in possession of a firearm. Further investigation resulted in the discovery of illegally possessed prescription medication and amounts of suspected oxycodone and marijuana consistent with drug distribution. Daquoi Moore, 21, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearm while in Possession of Drugs (x2). He was held on no bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2024-04140005, 2700 block of 9th Street S. At approximately 12:49 a.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was outside a residential building when the male suspect, who is known to him, approached him, demanded cash and assaulted him before leaving the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers observed an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and detained him. Mohamed Hedheli, 24, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery.

BURGLARY (Late), 2024-04150098, 1000 block of N. Highland Street. At approximately 9:14 a.m. on April 15, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 3:00 a.m., the male suspect made entry into the closed business, rummaged through the interior, forced entry into a secured room and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the scene. A description of the suspect was disseminated to officers and at approximately 10:57 p.m., officers were on a separate call for service when they observed an individual in the area matching the description of the suspect and detained him. Antonio Carroll, 49, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Burglary and Grand Larceny.

ROBBERY, 2024-04130115, 5000 block of Chesterfield Road. At approximately 12:05 p.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was sitting inside the business when the male suspect approached him and asked for cash. The victim pulled out an undisclosed amount of cash intending to provide an agreed upon amount, during which the suspect stole the money from his hand, exited the business and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 18-19 years old, 5’5”-5’7”, 150 pounds. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2024-04140242, 2100 block of 15th Street N. At approximately 11:12 p.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined Suspect One entered the business, collected merchandise, left the store without payment and returned shortly after. Suspect One then made threatening statements towards an employee while Suspect Two entered the store, collected merchandise and exited without payment. The suspects then fled the scene on foot into the Metro. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 18-30 years old, 5’9”-6’0”, 130-160 pounds, wearing all black clothing. Suspect Two is described as a white female, approximately 5’4”-5’7”, 115-135 pounds with long brown hair wearing a gray jacket, black pants and white sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-04140199, 4400 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 8:05 p.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was exiting his apartment when the unknown male suspect approached him and attempted to keep the victim from shutting his door. The victim briefly left to get help and upon returning, he observed the male suspect inside his home and confronted him. The suspect then exited the residence and left the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen from the home. The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 30-35 years old, 5’5”, 150 pounds wearing a black shirt, gray shorts and sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2024-04130242, 800 block of N. Woodrow Street. At approximately 11:04 p.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the report of destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown suspect(s) threw a rock at the victim’s occupied residence, causing a window to break. No injuries were reported. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING (Late), 2024-04150079, 3700 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 9:24 a.m. on April 15, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 8:30 a.m. the male victim entered the business and the male suspect approached him and engaged him in conversation during which a verbal dispute ensued. The suspect then struck the victim. The victim exited the business and subsequently requested the assistance of police. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
