REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY CAUSTIC AGENT, 2023-10250239, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:08 p.m. on October 25, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and attempted to exit without payment, during which security personnel confronted her. A struggle ensued over the merchandise and the suspect threatened security before leaving the store with the items. Security followed the suspect into the parking garage where the suspect deployed pepper spray at security before fleeing the scene in a black sedan. Security personnel declined medical attention. The suspect is described as a Black female wearing a blue sweatshirt, white pants and pink shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2023-10250256, 800 block of N. Barton Street. At approximately 8:13 p.m. on October 25, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was walking in the area when the male suspect exposed himself. The victim then left the scene and called police. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a skinny-build white male, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing all dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2023-10250205, 4500 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 4:35 p.m. on October 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, the reporting party advised that individuals may have attempted to gain entry into a vacant residence. Responding officers determined the residence was secure and no entry had been made inside. The investigation is ongoing.
