REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-05010288, 100 block of Key Boulevard. At approximately 8:55 p.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the area of the Key Bridge for the report of a stabbing. The preliminary investigation indicates the female victim was walking in the area when the male suspect approached from behind, slapped her buttocks, knocked her to the ground and stabbed her, resulting in lacerations. The suspect then stole the victim’s backpack and fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated on scene by medics before being transported to an area hospital for injuries considered non-life threatening. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20’s, approximately 6’0” tall and wearing all black. A search of the area for the suspect yielded negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series) (Late), 2023-05010058, 1600 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 6:32 a.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 8:00 p.m. on April 30 and 5:00 a.m. on May 1, the unknown suspect(s) stole the tires and rims from two vehicles in the area. No other damage was reported. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Series) (Late), 2023-05010143/05010167, Unit block of N. Glebe Road/300 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 10:41 a.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that during the overnight hours, the unknown suspect attempted to gain entry into a closed business in the unit block of N. Glebe Road. Nothing was reported stolen. The suspect subsequently gained entry into a closed business in the 300 block of N. Glebe Road and stole a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a Black male with a thing build wearing a hoodie, black jacket, black pants and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.
