REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-06200252, 2000 block of N. Sycamore Street. At approximately 8:07 p.m. on June 20, police were dispatched to an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect was engaged in a verbal dispute on a bus. After exiting, the suspect allegedly pushed the victim, who was not involved in the initial dispute, to the ground before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The suspect was located in the area and detained with the assistance of the City of Falls Church Police Department. He sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Kenneth Simon, 29, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding.
ROBBERY, 2023-06200126, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:46 p.m. on June 20, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown male suspect entered the business and collected merchandise. When an employee approached the suspect, he made threatening statements before collecting additional merchandise and fleeing the scene with the stolen items. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30-40 years old wearing a white hat, white jacket, black pants and black and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2023-06210041, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 4:17 a.m. on June 21, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 3:39 a.m., the unknown male suspect forced entry into the business, rummaged through the interior and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as an unknown race male wearing a black jacket, dark pants and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2023-06200217, 1800 block of N. Lexington Street. At approximately 5:46 p.m. on June 20, police were dispatched to the report of an unlawful entry. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside her residence when she heard the front door open. Upon investigating, she observed the unknown male suspect who then ran from the home. The suspect is described as a Black male, in his early 20’s and wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
