REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2022-02110174, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 5:35 p.m. on February 11, police were dispatched to the report of fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, went behind a displayed case and allegedly concealed merchandise on his person. An employee confronted the suspect, during which the suspect struck the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. Loss prevention then detained the suspect until the arrival of police. During a search of his person incident to arrest, officers recovered the stolen merchandise. Christopher Norfleet, 29, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Robbery and Assault & Battery.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (Series) (Late), 2022-02100079/02100081, 1000 block of N. Quincy Street/1500 block of N. Lincoln Street. At approximately 7:44 a.m. on February 10, police were dispatched to the late report of a destruction of property in the 1000 block of N. Quincy Street. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 3:04 a.m., the male suspect allegedly smashed a window to the library before fleeing the scene on foot. At approximately 7:56 a.m., police responded to the 1500 block of N. Lincoln Street for the late report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that during the early morning hours, the male suspect shattered a glass door to a school before fleeing the scene on foot. Ian Ohara, 30, of Arlington, Va., was charged with Damaging Public Buildings (x2).
PEEPING, 2023-02110265, 5500 block of Langston Boulevard. At approximately 11:11 p.m. on February 11, police were dispatched to the report of a peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his residence when he observed the unknown male suspect looking into his window. The suspect then fled the scene on foot before entering into a vehicle. The suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic male, approximately 5’0”, wearing a black beanie, dark blue jacket, and black and white pants. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2023-02100226, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 3:19 p.m. on February 10, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined Suspect One approached a display case, pushed an employee and stole several pairs of sunglasses while Suspect Two stole shoes. Both suspects then exited the business with the stolen merchandise. Suspect One is described as a Black male with a skinny build, approximately 30 years old, wearing a white sweater, black jeans, black sneakers and a black mask. Suspect Two is described as a Black male with a skinny build, approximately 5’8” and approximately 30 years old. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2023-02120051, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 4:59 a.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, responding officers conducted a search of the area which yielded negative results. The investigation determined at approximately 4:54 a.m., the unknown male suspect forced entry into the business, causing damage to the front door frame, and stole a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black hoodie with a black and white shirt underneath, and a black ski mask. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2023-02120062, 2300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 8:05 a.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim entered the closed business and observed the unknown male suspect inside. The suspect then fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of police. No items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a White male with a medium build, approximately 35-40 years old. The investigation is ongoing.
SEXUAL BATTERY (late), 2023-02110025, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:47 a.m. on February 11, police were in the area when they made contact with the female victim who reported a late assault. The investigation determined at approximately 1:27 a.m. the victim was inside a business when an unknown male suspect grabbed her buttocks. The suspect is described as an unknown race male with an average build, medium skin tone, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 5’7-5’11, with facial hair wearing a dark grey beanie and white sweatshirt. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2023-02120104, 1400 block of 20th Street S. At approximately 12:18 p.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 7 and 12:05 p.m. on February 12, an unknown suspect(s) entered the under-construction home and stole electronics and personal items. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
