REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2023-08180025, S. Arlington Ridge Road at 23rd Street S. At approximately 1:36 a.m. on August 18, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was stopped in his vehicle at a traffic light when the suspect vehicle rear ended him. The victim exited his vehicle and approached the suspect vehicle when Suspects One and Two exited their vehicle. Suspect One assaulted the victim causing him to fall to the ground and Suspect Two threatened the victim with a firearm and demanded his belongings. The victim gave the suspects his jewelry before they reentered their vehicle and fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Suspect One is described as a Black male wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black ski mask with long dreadlocks. Suspect Two is described as a skinny-build Black male wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black ski mask. The suspect vehicle is described as a black sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2023-08170133, 1800 block of N. Lynn Street. At approximately 12:42 p.m. on August 17, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown male suspect made entry to the victim’s apartment and when the victim called out, the suspect exited the residence. No items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male with braids wearing a white shirt. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2023-08170284, 900 block of N. Fillmore Street. At approximately 10:46 p.m. on August 17 police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside his residence when he heard a noise and upon investigating, observed an unknown male suspect attempting to make entry to his home. The victim spoke to the suspect who continued to attempt to gain entry to the residence. The victim then called police and the suspect left the scene prior to their arrival. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male. The investigation is ongoing.
