REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2023-04250043, 3500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:29 a.m. on April 25, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown suspect entered the business, went behind the counter and stole cigarettes. The suspect made threatening statements towards an employee and implied he had a weapon before exiting the store and fleeing the area on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a medium-build Black male, approximately 6’0”, wearing a black jacket, jeans and a baseball hat. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2023-04250137, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 12:18 p.m. on April 25, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business and began concealing merchandise during which a store employee confronted him. The suspect pushed the employee and made threatening statements before exiting the store. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 6’0”, with facial hair, wearing all-black clothing, and a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2023-04250206, 4200 block of N. Fairfax Drive. At approximately 4:39 p.m. on April 25, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined two unknown suspects entered the business, collected merchandise and exited the store without paying. An employee confronted the suspects outside the business during which one suspect lifted his shirt to display a knife before both suspects fled the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a black male wearing all-black clothing. Suspect Two is described as a Black male wearing camo pants. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURLGARY, 2023-04260025, 2700 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 3:17 a.m. on April 26, an officer was patrolling the area when they observed an unknown subject run from the area of a closed business. The subject then entered into the backseat of an idling vehicle, which had three additional occupants, and fled the area at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted a traffic stop, which the driver failed to comply with, and fled into Washington D.C. Additional responding officers checked the area the subject was seen running from and located evidence of an attempted burglary at a business. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver sedan. The driver of the vehicle is described as a Black male wearing a pink hoodie and black ski mask. There is no description of the three other occupants of the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (Late), 2023-04250079, 2700 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 8:58 a.m. on April 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 6:00 p.m. on April 23 and 7:25 a.m. on April 25, the unknown suspect gained entry into the business, stole a register containing an undisclosed amount of cash and caused damage to electronics before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a male wearing a white jacket, jeans, sneakers and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (Late), 2023-04250073, 4300 block of 34th Street S. At approximately 8:36 a.m. on April 25, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 3:30 a.m. and 8:36 a.m., the unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side windows of two vehicles and stole airbags. No additional items were reported stolen from the vehicles. Both involved vehicles are Honda models. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
