REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2023-04140036, King Street at 30th Street S. At approximately 2:20 a.m. on April 14, an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. As a result of the investigation, officers attempted to take the driver into custody for suspected driving under the influence. The suspect actively resisted arrest, struggled with officers and struck an officer in the face with their elbow. With the assistance of additional police units, the suspect was taken into custody. Ernie Camposeco Ramirez, 30, of Ashburn, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving and Obstruction of Justice.
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2023-04150214, 800 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 8:06 p.m. on April 15, an officer was patrolling the area when they observed a wanted person. The officer attempted to take the suspect into custody during which the suspect pushed the officer and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Additional officers responded and took the suspect into custody. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect allegedly stole merchandise from a business. Gary Goodridge, 26, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Obstruction of Justice and Shoplifting. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2023-04140014, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 12:39 a.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, responding officers located the suspect in the area and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined the suspect was walking in the area when a witness observed him with his pants down, exposing himself. Kevin Banks, 43, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and Public Intoxication. He was held without bond.
RECKLESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM, 2023-04160087, 1100 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 10:32 a.m. on April 16, police were dispatched to the report of a discharge of a firearm. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the subject and determined he was allegedly cleaning his firearm when it discharged, causing damage to the interior of his home. No injuries or other property damage was reported. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2023-04160128, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 3:23 p.m. on April 16, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately 25 minutes prior to police arrival, four juvenile suspects entered the store, selected merchandise and attempted to exit without payment during which two employees confronted the suspects. Suspect One pushed an employee while Suspect Two brandished a taser. The suspects then fled the scene on foot with stolen merchandise, entered a white sedan and left the area. Suspect One is described as a Black female, approximately 15-16 years old, approximately 5’2” with braids. Suspect Two is described as a Black female, approximately 15-16 years old, approximately 5’5” with braids wearing blue jeans. Suspect Three is described as a Black male, approximately 15-16 years old, approximately 5’6”-5’7” with long braids wearing all gray clothing. Suspect Four is described as a Black female wearing black jeans and sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2023-04160140, 1100 block of S. George Mason Drive. At approximately 4:26 p.m. on April 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown male suspect entered into the business, went behind the counter, pushed the employee to the ground, and stole a pack of cigars before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined the treatment of medics. Responding officers conducted a search of the area which yielded negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, wearing a black short sleeve shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series), 2023-04140090, 3400 block of S. Utah Street. At approximately 8:45 a.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny from auto. Upon arrival, it was determined between 12:00 p.m. on April 13 and 8:15 a.m. on April 14, the unknown suspect(s) entered four vehicles, rummaged through items and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, a credit card and personal items. No damage was reported. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2023-04150120, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 2:06 p.m. on April 15, police were dispatched to the late report of a trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 7:50 p.m. on April 9, three juvenile suspects entered into the closed business before fleeing the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen or damaged. The three juveniles suspects are described as 15-17 year old males. The investigation is ongoing.
