REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2022-12260054, 3300 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 10:20 a.m. on December 26, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect gained entry into the business and allegedly stole an item before exiting. The reporting party confronted the suspect and a verbal dispute ensued. The suspect left on foot and was located in the area by responding officers. Upon a search of his person incident to arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of credit cards and identification cards of someone other than himself. Terry Brown, 41, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Burglary and Unauthorized Possession of 2+ Credit Cards. He was held without bond.
AGGRAVATED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2022-12230060, 2000 block of 14th Street N. At approximately 6:58 a.m. on December 23, an officer in the area was flagged down by the witness who reported an assault. The investigation determined the witness was in the area when the suspect and victim became involved in a verbal dispute, during which the suspect assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers located the victim who had sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and declined the treatment of medics on scene. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a knit beanie, green camouflage turtleneck shirt and dark pants. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICOUS WOUNDING, 2022-12240124, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 1:28 p.m. on December 24, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the employee observed the four female suspects, whom he recognized from previous incidents, enter the business. The employee attempted to contact dispatch, during which Suspect One knocked the phone out of his hand. The four suspects then followed the employee throughout the store and assaulted him before leaving. A short time later, the four suspects returned, during which Suspect One threw a stone towards the employee while Suspect Four assaulted him. The four suspects then fled the scene on foot. The employee sustained minor injuries and did not require the treatment of medics. Suspect One is described as a Black female with an average height and build, with long black and pink hair, wearing a white hoodie, black leggings and boots, carrying a black tote bag. Suspect Two is described as a Black female with an average height and build, with short black hair, wearing a black face mask, beige coat, gray sweat pants and white shoes. Suspect Three is described as a tall Black female with a skinny build, with black and pink hair, wearing a beige beanie and black jacket. Suspect Four is described as a Black female with an average height and stocky build, with medium length hair, wearing a black jacket, gray sweat pants and carrying a beige purse. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2022-12230032, 2700 block of S. Adams Street. At approximately 2:25 a.m. on December 23, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined three known male juvenile suspects approached the victim, assaulted him and stolen personal property and cash. Responding officers recovered the cash in the area. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2022-12230219, Columbia Pike. At approximately 8:14 p.m. on December 23, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, responding officers made contact with the victim who was being treated by medics for serious, non-life threatening injuries before being transported to an area hospital. The investigation determined earlier in the day, the victim exited a public transit bus along Columbia Pike when he was approached by the two unknown male suspects. The suspects then assaulted the victim, one with an unidentified object, causing the victim fall to the ground. The suspects then stole cash from the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim returned to his residence and later contacted dispatch. The exact time and location of the incident could not be determined. The suspects are described two Black males, approximately 5’8” – 6’0”, wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2022-12270007, 3100 block of 10th Street N. At approximately 12:28 a.m. on December 27, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim exited a business and entered his vehicle when the two suspects approached either side of his vehicle. The suspect on the driver’s side allegedly implied that he had a firearm. The victim exited his vehicle and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported and no items were reported stolen. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2022-12230061, 1700 block of N. Troy Street. At approximately 7:01 a.m. on December 23, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the juvenile female victim was inside her residence when she heard what appeared to be someone tampering with her bedroom window. The victim then observed the unknown suspect’s hand enter through the window. The victim yelled and the suspect fled the scene on foot. Responding officers located evidence of forced entry into the window and canvassed the area with negative results. No injuries were reported and no items were reported stolen. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2022-12230157, 1700 block of N. Quebec Street. At approximately 2:34 p.m. on December 23, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 5:00 p.m. on December 22 and 11:00 a.m. on December 23, the unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s home and stole personal and household items. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2022-12240125, 1600 block of N. Inglewood Street. At approximately 1:34 p.m. on December 24, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside the building when the unknown male suspect approached her and attempted to engage her in conversation. The suspect then left the area and returned a short time later with his pants down and exposing himself. The victim was able to safely exit the building and returned a short time later to find the suspect was no longer in the area. The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, approximately 5’7” - 5’9” with a bald head. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-12240019, 3000 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 1:18 a.m. on December 24, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim entered her living room and observed the unknown male suspect. The suspect then exited the residence and fled the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen or damaged. The suspect is described as a Black male with a slender build, approximately 25-35 years old, 5’8”-5’9”, with black, braided hair, wearing a black vest, dark long-sleeve shirt. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2022-12240206, 1700 block of N. Troy Street. At approximately 9:25 p.m. on December 24, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on December 24, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s apartment and rummaged through items. No items were reported stolen and no signs of forced entry were observed. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-12260026, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:25 a.m. on December 26, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect forced entry into the business to retrieve a personal item he had left behind. The reporting party was provided information on the process of obtaining warrants for prosecution.
