REPORTS
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2022-12130017, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male and female suspects allegedly attempted unsuccessfully to force entry into a closed business. The suspects then exited the building and were taken into custody by responding officers. Minor property damage was reported. Michael Williams, 61, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Destruction of Property. Demetrias Wright, 64, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary. Both suspects were held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2022-12120176, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:23 p.m. on December 12, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the two suspects entered a business, Suspect One concealed merchandise and they exited without paying. Two employees then confronted Suspect One and a struggle ensued, during which Suspect Two allegedly pushed the employees. Suspect One fled the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. Suspect One is described as a Black male in his late teens to early 20’s wearing all black clothing. Suspect Two was detained and released on scene as the investigation into the incident continues.
DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM (late), 2022-12120076, 3200 block of 24th Street S. At approximately 9:58 a.m. on December 12, police were dispatched to the late report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that a residential maintenance crew responded to a service request from December 10 and observed an apparent bullet hole inside the apartment. Responding officers recovered evidence of a firearm being discharged. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
