REPORTS

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE (Significant), 2021-07210080, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 12:17 p.m. on July 21, police were dispatched to the report of a trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the business wanted the suspect banned from the property. During the course of the investigation, officers determined that the suspect had an active warrant for his arrest. As officers attempted to take him into custody, the suspect became uncooperative and combative. A struggle ensued, during which A TASER was deployed which appeared to have no impact on the suspect and he ran from the officers. Officers were able to catch up to the suspect and attempted to place him in handcuffs. He actively resisted and oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray was deployed. The suspect was then taken into custody. He did not require medical transport and no officers were injured. Dupree Stringfellow, 27, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice. Outstanding warrants from Stafford County, VA were also executed.
