REPORTS
CARJACKING, 2021-01220113, 1400 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 11:08 a.m. on January 22, police were dispatched to the report of a grand larceny auto. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was exiting her parked vehicle when the suspect vehicle, occupied three times, approached. The suspects implied they had a weapon and threatened the victim before stealing her vehicle and purse. The victim was not injured. The victim's vehicle is described as a Honda Civic with Virginia plates. The suspects are described as juvenile Black males, approximately 5'7-5'8" and 130-140 lbs. One of the suspects is described as wearing a white hat. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Hyundai sedan.
BURGLARY, 2021-01220028, 5
th Road N. at N. Quincy Street. At approximately 6:21 a.m. on January 22, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 2:00 a.m., two suspects forced entry to a business, causing damage, tampered with items, and stole cash registers containing an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspect One is described as a wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes, mask, and white gloves. Suspect Two is described as having a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, white shoes, and white gloves. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-01220052, 6500 block of 29
th Street N. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 22, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:25 a.m., two suspects forced entry to a business, causing damage. Inside, the suspects tampered with merchandise and office supplies, causing damage, and stole a cash register and safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspect One is described as a wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes, mask, and white gloves. Suspect Two is described as having a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, white shoes, and white gloves. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2021-01230037, 6400 block of Williamsburg Boulevard. At approximately 4:48 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the report of an alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 4:44 a.m., an unknown suspect attempted to force entry to a business unsuccessfully, causing damage. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Nothing was reported stolen from the business. The suspect is described as a light complexion male, with a thin build, short black hair, wearing a black jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2021-01230160, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 8:14 p.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the report of an unlawful entry. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 7:38 p.m., a group of eight suspects gained entry to a secure area within a business. Nothing was reported stolen or damaged. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. The suspects are described as teenagers, wearing black or dark blue sweaters and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
