TRAFFIC ALERT: 2019 Rosslyn Jazz Festival

ARLINGTON, Va. — The
Rosslyn Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Set up will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. and clean-up should be completed by 8:00 PM, with the actual event occurring from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Arlington County Police Department will conduct the following road closures to accommodate this event:
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Eastbound lanes of Lee Highway, between Fort Myer Drive and Lynn Street
- Detour signs will be posted
- Fort Myer Drive will be closed at Westbound Lee Highway
- Traffic traveling south on Fort Myer Drive from the District of Columbia must turn right and travel Westbound, where there is access to Route 66 West and other destinations within the County.

- Exit 73 from Eastbound Route 66 to Rosslyn
Detour Information
Local traffic within the closure zone wishing to access Route 66 or the Key Bridge by way of Eastbound Lee Highway should exit Lee Highway at either Veitch Street, Rhodes Street, Quinn Street, or Fort Myer Drive and use Wilson Boulevard to reach Lynn Street. Once on Lynn Street, drivers can travel north across the Key Bridge or take the ramp from Lynn Street onto Route 66 East and enter the District of Columbia.
The event is likely to produce heavy pedestrian traffic throughout the area. Motorists should be alert and prepared for delays if they choose not to use detours around the event. Significant traffic impacts and delays will affect the Rosslyn area. Travelers are encouraged to leave extra time, seek alternate routes or use various forms of multimodal transportation to alleviate road congestion in the area. Attendees are encouraged to use Metro (Rosslyn station), multimodal transportation, or ridesharing as an alternate means of getting there.
Street parking in the area will be restricted and motorists should be on the lookout for temporary "No Parking" signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call 703-558-2222
