REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2018-01200017, 25
th Street N. at Old Dominion Drive. At approximately 12:54 a.m. on January 20, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined that three victims were riding in a vehicle, with a known subject driving, when they stopped in a wooded area. One victim was separated and allegedly surrounded by six males, when the driver of the vehicle brandished a firearm, pushed him to the ground and stole items of value. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, but was later located at his residence in possession of items of value belonging to the victims. Samuel Bowers, 18, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Robbery (x2) and Use of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony (x2). He was held on no bond. During subsequent investigation, four juvenile suspects were identified and taken into custody.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY (late), 2018-01200222, 5100 block of 8
th Road S. At approximately 7:43 p.m. on January 20, police were dispatched to the report of a possible breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 4:00 p.m., following a brief conversation outside, the victim led the suspect to his residence and provided him with liquor. While inside the residence, the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded money from the victim. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene. The victim was uninjured. At approximately 7:40 p.m., the suspect returned to the victim's residence and knocked on the door repeatedly. The victim did not answer and contacted police. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. A canvas of the area and K-9 track yielded negative results. The suspect is described as a young Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, average weight, with short black hair, no facial hair, wearing a black jacket and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
BREAKING & ENTERING (late), 2018-01190080, 1000 block of N. Filmore Street. At approximately 9:09 a.m. on January 19, police were dispatched to the late report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 6:00 p.m. on January 18 and 9:00 a.m. on January 19, an unknown suspect entered a business and caused damage to the interior. Nothing was reported missing. The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, approximately 5'8 to 6'0, 160-180 lbs, with black hair, wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO, 2018-01210108/01210111/01210133, 3600 block of N. Pershing Drive/131 S. Highland Street/4204 4
th Street N. Between 9:00 p.m. on January 20 and 12:00 p.m. on January 21, approximately six mostly unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through and numerous items of value were reported missing. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
