ACPD Participation in Operation "Save a Life through CAST"

ARLINGTON, Va. — On Wednesday, February 24
th, the Arlington County Police Department, in conjunction with law enforcement partners from around the region participated in an innovative operation aimed at curbing distribution and/or possession of heroin. During this initiative, dubbed "Operation Save a Life Through CAST (Chiefs and Sheriffs Together)," a variety of enforcement and education actions were taken by departments across the region.
In Arlington County, officers focused on the education and awareness components of heroin use and addiction. Heroin addiction is a growing epidemic that is ruining lives and destroying families. As such, the Arlington County Police Department strongly encourages substances users and their family members to seek assistance. The following treatment facilities are located in Arlington County:
