REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2022-03200216, S. Eads Street at 23rd Street S. At approximately 7:46 p.m. on March 20, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. A lookout was broadcast and the suspect was located in the area and taken into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the suspect approached the male victim from behind and attempted to reach for something in the victim’s hand before allegedly striking him in the head. The victim was treated on scene by medics. Brice Driggers, 45, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held on a secured bond.

WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2022-03200244, 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 10:39 p.m. on March 20, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the male victim, who stated that he was walking in the area when he was approached by the known suspect. The suspect allegedly attempted to provoke the victim into a physical altercation before producing a set of brass knuckles and making threatening gestures. A witness attempted to intervene and the suspect then fled the scene on foot. A short time later, officers located the suspect at his residence and took him into custody without incident. Joshua Younger, 34, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2022-03170196, 4000 block of Campbell Avenue. At approximately 7:29 p.m. on March 17, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that approximately 20 minutes prior, the male suspect entered into the establishment and allegedly exposed himself to the female victims. Jonathan Cartwright, 45, of Gold River, Ca., was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT & BATTERY (Significant), 2022-03180231/0254, 1400 block of S. Eads Street/15th Street S. at S. Eads. At approximately 7:24 p.m. on March 18, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the two victims were walking in the area when the suspect vehicle approached and the passenger discharged a paintball gun striking the victims, a parked vehicle and the door to a business. At approximately 9:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the report of an assault and determined two additional victims were walking in the area when they were struck by the suspect discharging a paintball gun from a vehicle. One victim self-transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver, older model four door sedan. There are no suspect descriptions at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

BRANDISHING, 2022-03200087, 1400 block of S. George Mason Drive. At approximately 9:27 a.m. on March 20, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when he was approached by the two suspects, during which one of the suspects brandished a firearm. The victim kept walking and contacted police. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The suspects are described as 15 – 25 year-old Hispanic males. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY (Late), 2022-03190071, 400 block of N. Monroe Street. At approximately 4:27 a.m. on March 19, police were dispatched to the late report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:47 a.m., the unknown male suspect walked behind the victim’s residence and attempted to gain entry through a back door. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
