Buddha taught that love is the great protector. Both we ourselves and others are protected by love from harmful actions and suffering, and a loving heart inspires us to treat others with consideration and kindness. However, our love is often mixed with attachment, which makes us possessive, anxious and easily hurt. Come explore Buddha’s wisdom teachings on how to discern the difference between love and attachment, and learn methods to weaken our attachment while improving our mind of love.
Each class begins with guided breathing meditation, to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace.
Gen Demo will then give a practical teaching based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate Buddha’s timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives.
The class concludes with a guided meditation to help us mix our mind with the teaching and take it to heart. There is also an opportunity to ask questions.
This event is part of a series (02/11/2020-02/16/2021, Tuesday every week).
