Online Real Estate Appeal Applications

The Real Estate Assessment Departments’ staff members are available by phone, email or virtual video meetings. In-person meetings, and document pick-up are available by appointment only. Note: Appeal forms are only available from January until the deadline stated. If there is no link to the form, that indicates the deadline has passed.

Department of Real Estate Assessments Review:  Application Deadline March 3rd. If March 1st, falls on a weekend, the deadline for filing an application is the next business day.     

Board of Equalization Review:  Application Deadline April 15th
If April 15th falls on a weekend, the deadline for filing an application is the next business day.

As a first level assessment appeal review may not be completed prior to the Board of Equalization appeal deadline of April 15, those property owners who have not received the results of a first level appeal by April 1, should file an appeal with the Board of Equalization to preserve the option to a second level appeal. After the results of the Department Review are received, you can notify our department if you wish to withdraw your BOE application.  If you encounter any issues submitting an electronic application, please contact our office at assessments@arlingtonva.us or 703-228-3920 for assistance.
