Transportation Improvements & Construction Impacts

As a condition of the site plan for this project, the developer will implement improvements to the streetscape surrounding the Landmark building.
These improvements include:
- Pedestrian promenade along N. Uhle Street between the Courthouse Metro station and Landmark Block
- A new sidewalk and streetscape improvements along Clarendon Boulevard, Wilson Boulevard, and N. Courthouse Road
- Transit improvements and a new slow speed configuration on 15th St. N.
During this construction, travelers on all modes should expect temporary traffic detours to accommodate construction. These detours will include at different times:
- Bus service reroutes and stop relocations
- Sidewalk closures and temporary walkways
- Lane closures or narrowing
- Bus, vehicle, and bike travel possibly sharing lanes where space is reduced

- Public art contribution: The Compassion sculpture, located at the intersection of Wilson and Clarendon Boulevards at N. Courthouse Road since 1967, will be removed due to its condition and construction impacts. Compassion has been remade in bronze and will be installed in the fall of 2023 near the original location.
