Starting Tuesday, June 21 at 4:30 p.m. until Tuesday, June 28 at 8 a.m., Permit Arlington, ePlan Review, and online payment will be unavailable to customers.
Arlington has three primary planning areas that are located along major transportation routes: Columbia Pike and the two Metrorail corridors — Rosslyn-Ballston and Richmond Highway (Route 1). We also develop plans for other areas of the County where development is likely to occur or where it’s necessary to address specific issues.
We align thoughtful long-range planning with smart growth and urban design principles and extensive community input to concentrate development activity in key areas to help build a strong economy and thriving business districts. The majority of land in Arlington is dedicated to preserving residential neighborhoods.
