Dominion Electric Supply Co.
With one truck, one employee and a small storefront on Langston Boulevard, Meyer H. Sharlin started selling electrical supplies in 1940. In 1947, the company moved to its current headquarters at 5053 Langston Boulevard, which at the time was one-third the size of the current building. Still family-owned and -operated, Dominion Electric has been a landmark establishment for over 80 years. Many customers have fond memories of visiting the showroom with their parents as children.

Precious Metal Clay at Lee Arts Center
Artist Peggy Nigon has taken many memorable workshops at Lee Arts Center, such as one on precious metal clay. Clay made of precious metal and a binder is worked like hand-built clay. When fired in the kiln, the binder is burnt out and only the metal remains.
