COVID-19 Vaccine

According to the CDC, everyone ages 6 months and older is eligible and encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Make sure you stay up to date.

Authorized Vaccines and Schedule

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized four COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.

  1. Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine
  2. Moderna mRNA vaccine
  3. Novavax protein subunit vaccine
  4. Johnson & Johnson/Janssen (J&J) viral vector vaccine (As of May 7, 2023, J&J COVID-19 vaccine has expired and is no longer available for use in the U.S.) 

The CDC maintains a current COVID-19 vaccine schedule. The number of doses varies by age, vaccine, and previously received COVID-19 vaccines.

Arlington County Public Health Division is offering the 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine on a limited basis by appointment onlyCheck the table below to see if you are eligible for vaccine at this location.

Anyone can visit a local pharmacy, contact a healthcare provider, or search for other options at vaccines.gov.

Eligibility  Adults may schedule an appointment if they:
  • Do NOT have insurance
  • Have insurance, BUT their insurance does not cover COVID-19 vaccine
Children may schedule an appointment if they:
