Arms Stretched Towards the Clouds: An Earth Day Poetry Workshop

Celebrate National Poetry Month and Earth Day during this nature-themed poetry workshop. Join poet Kori Johnson in exploring how the natural world can provide endless inspiration for writing poems and pieces in verse. We will play with seasonal imagery, experiment with the five senses in nature, and craft individual and collective poetry pieces. We will also celebrate the connection between poetry and visual art by adorning our final pieces with drawings, doodles, and pops of color.

Writers of all experience levels are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a favorite poem, song, or nature-themed object for inspiration.

Ages: 8 and up

Parking Directions: Park in the back parking lot. Enter the door that has Cultural Affairs painted above the entrance. The building is located between Nelson Street and Oakland Street.
