The Poet is IN

The Poet is IN

Arlington Cultural Affairs is partnering again with Arlington Public Library to host the Poet Is IN booth at multiple library locations. Keep an eye out for the pop-up booth featuring noted regional poets who will create a free, personalized poem just for you in real time. You can find the booth on the respective library plazas; in the event of rain the booth will move indoors.

Saturday, April 1 features two poets: Courtney LeBlanc (12-1pm) and Emily Holland (1-2pm).

Courtney LeBlanc Courtney LeBlanc is the author of the full-length collections Her Whole Bright Life, winner of the Jack McCarthy Book Prize (Write Bloody, 2023),  Exquisite Bloody, Beating Heart (Riot in Your Throat, 2021), and Beautiful & Full of Monsters (Vegetarian Alcoholic Press, 2020). She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Riot in Your Throat, an independent poetry press, and is a fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts (2022). She loves nail polish, tattoos, and a soy latte each morning.
