Summer Arts Camps 2024

When “Summer Camp” for youth comes to mind, most of us probably think of canoeing on a lake, or hiking through mountainous terrain. However, a number of Arlington arts organizations offer young people an adventure in their own creativity through the arts! Each of the community organizations below are grantee organizations that receive funding through Arlington Cultural Affairs. 

Whether through movement, visual art, film, or theatre, here are several choices from the County and well-known Arlington-based presenters.

Arlington County Parks and Recreation

  • Creative Arts Camp: In this enriching, full-day program, campers experiment with exciting art materials and techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and collage. We emphasize creativity and imagination with a special focus on skill building. Each session has its own theme and activities.
  • Teen Art Bootcamps: In these half-day, specialized programs teens are introduced to the fundamentals of metal jewelry making, pottery, or woodworking.

Educational Theatre Company

ETC summer camps From half day camps for preschoolers to multi-week teen intensives, ETC has a camp for everyone! Campers work with professional teaching artists to develop theatre skills while working with their peers to make their own creations on stage and on film. Learn more about ETC's summer camps.

Encore Stage & Studio

Encore Stage & Studio Camp Join Encore this summer for an exciting theatre adventure! Encore's summer camps provide a fun and safe environment for children to explore theatre arts.

Jane Franklin Dance

Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington

MoCA Arlington summer camps Campers will go on an artistic journey and explore the visual arts through exciting projects in 2D and 3D media while learning about new and different artistic techniques and contemporary artists working in the world today! Synetic Theater

Synetic summer camps Synetic camps are perfect for any 1st – 9th grade student who loves moving, making friends, playing games, and having a memorable summer.
