The TJ Art Studio at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center provides a creative space for artists to attend classes, workshops, independent studies and artful events.

Register today and start learning and practicing crafts in three unique disciplines: ceramic pottery, jewelry, and woodworking.

Open Studio

Open Studio Drop-In Pottery

  • First-come, first-serve.
  • Previous experience is required.

Clay must be purchased at the TJ Art Studio; outside clay is not allowed.

A 25 lb. bag of clay is $16. When recycled clay is available, it is .80¢ per pound.

Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Saturday (Oct - May): 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Independent Study: Jewelry & Woodworking

Our independent studies are for experienced artists interested in jewelry or woodworking and are not instructional.

The registration fee is $26 for County Residents and $31 for Non-County Residents for a 3-hour session and a minimum of five participants must register.
