Deer Management Project: Community Forum
Join us at Lubber Run Community Center gym on July 11 to provide input on the Deer Management Project. This engagement will explore and share feedback on Arlington's growing deer population and its impacts to our local ecosystem.
Learn about the process that has led to this project, including an aerial drone survey of deer that highlighted the overabundance of deer in our natural parks and a newly released deer browse assessment that shares some of the impacts. Without intervention, deer overpopulation has detrimental effects on both the deer population and the local ecosystem. By attending this event, you will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, learn about potential strategies to manage deer and protect our natural lands, and provide your feedback. Learn more by watching this video and visiting the Deer Management Project webpage.
If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to provide your input via the questionnaire available here through July 18, 2023 (en español).
Your feedback will contribute to next steps in the project.
We can provide reasonable modifications for people with disabilities and language translation upon request. If you have any questions or would like to send a request, please email here.
