About the Office

Our mission is to coordinate emergency preparedness and response capabilities, resources and engagement for the Arlington community.

Critical service areas of the Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (PSCEM) include day-to-day operations of the Emergency Communications (9-1-1) Center and emergency preparedness, response and recovery - plan, policy and program development, public involvement, and integrated training and protocols.

Community Emergency Response Team

CERT is a neighborhood-based team that receives special training to help the County recognize, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.

Emergency Communications Center (ECC)

Our expertly trained dispatchers answer your 9-1-1 calls in times of emergency and send help, no matter the obstacles.

Until Help Arrives

Until Help Arrives teaches citizens to provide life-sustaining care in emergencies like shootings, car crashes and workplace accidents while waiting for first responders.
